The new Jewish cemetery in Pilica was established in 1842. Currently, the area of about 1 ha is fenced and heavily overgrown.
Before the Second World War, there was a funeral home with a guardian's apartment in the cemetery. It was destroyed along with the considerable devastation of the cemetery by the Germans in 1943-44.
During the war, the Germans carried out executions of captured Jews in the cemetery. In 1945, the German military police from Wolbrom shot 70 Jews from Pilica here.
